The ITTF Warsaw International Travel & Tourism Fair consistently fosters cooperation with national tourism organizations from around the globe. This year’s edition will feature a special spotlight on Sri Lanka, the event’s Partner Country. This unique partnership will provide a platform to showcase one of Asia’s most fascinating destinations and strengthen the international scope of the event, which brings together tourism industry representatives from Poland and abroad.

One island – countless experiences

Sri Lanka is a place where, within a relatively small area, you can discover an extraordinary diversity of attractions. Paradise beaches, lush tea plantations, mountains, national parks, UNESCO World Heritage Sites, and modern cities together create a unique mosaic of experiences. It is this remarkable diversity that has made Sri Lanka one of the world’s most fascinating tourist destinations for many years.

A history spanning thousands of years

History and culture enthusiasts will find some of Asia’s most valuable monuments here. The monumental Sigiriya, the ancient cities of Anuradhapura and Polonnaruwa, the Dambulla cave temples, and the Temple of the Tooth in Kandy stand as testimony to over two thousand years of history and the island’s extraordinary cultural heritage. Portuguese, Dutch, and British colonial influences are still visible today in the architecture of coastal cities such as Galle.

A meeting with wild nature

Sri Lanka is one of the best places in the world for observing wildlife. In its national parks, you can encounter Asian elephants, Sri Lankan leopards, crocodiles, and hundreds of species of exotic birds. The island’s coastline also attracts sea lovers—off the coast of Mirissa, you can observe the largest animals on Earth: blue whales.

Flavours full of aroma

Sri Lankan cuisine delights with its rich spices and local recipes. Traditional rice & curry, kottu roti, string hoppers, seafood, and local snacks are an essential part of any journey. It is a true feast for all lovers of culinary discovery.

A paradise for active travellers

Sri Lanka offers a wide range of activities—from surfing and diving, to mountain trekking and rafting, to golf and kayaking. It is an ideal destination both for those seeking adrenaline and for those who want to relax surrounded by extraordinary nature.

Wellness & Ayurveda

For centuries, Sri Lanka has been known for its Ayurvedic traditions and natural methods of body regeneration. Numerous wellness centres offer treatments based on local herbs and centuries-old medical knowledge, combining relaxation with care for health.

Exceptional beaches

Unawatuna, Mirissa, Hikkaduwa, Trincomalee, and Nilaveli are among the most beautiful beaches in the Indian Ocean. Turquoise waters, golden sand, and a tropical climate make Sri Lanka a dream destination both for family holidays and romantic getaways.
